BCI Training Modules
The following five BCI Training Modules are covered in the course:
Policy, Programme Management and Culture
This module provides an introduction to the business continuity lifecycle. It examines the business continuity
industry as a whole and introduces the Good Practice Guidelines.
Understanding the Organisation
Organisations need to identify the critical activities and resources that support their key products and
services, understanding the threats to them and choose appropriate risk treatments. This module explains
business impact analysis, risk assessment and how to choose appropriate risk treatments.
Determining Business Continuity Strategy
This module explains the requirements for establishing BCM arrangements that will enable organisations to
recover their critical activities within the recovery time objectives that they have set. It covers
different incident response structures and options for recovering critical activities.
Developing and Implementing BCM Response
Organisations need to develop and implement appropriate BCM plans and arrangements to manage any incident and
continue their critical activities. This module explains what business continuity and incident management
plans are and what they need to contain.
Exercising, Maintaining and Reviewing BCM arrangements
Organisations need to verify the ongoing effectiveness of their BCM arrangements and provide greater assurance
